Key matchup for Jaguars game
This is a tough one this week, but I'm going to go with nose tackle Chris Hoke versus center Dennis Norman. Both are backups, Hoke for Casey Hampton, Norman for Brad Meester. If Hoke can handle Norman and push the pocket, it will force the Jaguars to double-team him and plug up the running game. That will keep the Jaguars from doubling James Harrison and LaMarr Woodley on the outside and keep James Farrior and Larry Foote free to roam the middle without a guard getting on them.
Means nothing if Leftwich starts.
ReplyDeleteHopefully Ben will start
ReplyDeleteHalf of their starting secondary may be out for this game
ReplyDeleteI think we have a shot even if Leftwich starts, he should have some insight into their defense at least.
this game SHOULD be similar to the baltimore, though im starting to think the jags are just injured as the steelers, including their secondary
ReplyDeleteAssuming Ben plays and the o line holds up, I think the Steelers could see a lot of yards through the air. Ben has done it against them before, though with crucial turnovers.
I think Steelers fans could be in for a surprise strategy and win this week.
How many INTs this week for Rashean Mathis? over/under 1.5
ReplyDeleteDale,
ReplyDeleteI see that McFadden is starting again with Townsend as the 3rd corner. Do you think this could be a permanent move? McFadden's been our best corner while Deshae looked like he wasn't completely healed yet, especially on the poor tackle attempt on Monday night. Did Townsend look any better this week in practice?
Leftwich isn't going to start.
ReplyDeleteI don't see Townsend back in the starting lineup unless there's an injury. The D is playing too well.
Post Gazette reports Ben practiced yesterday and will start. Same with James Harrison.
ReplyDeleteTownsend looked bad again tonight. Really bad IMO. I LOVED Moore on the draws and love seeing him with the ball in space and the opportunity to make someone miss.
