Timmons back at practice

Linebacker Lawrence Timmons was back at practice Wednesday and looked good moving around on his sprained ankle.

All signs point to Timmons returning to play after sitting out the Steelers' victory over Denver.

Travis Kirschke and Carey Davis sat out.

© Chad Ochocinco wrote on his Twitter page that he was going to send the Steelers defensive backs mustard in the mail this week because, "they weren't going to be able to ketchup" on Sunday.

It's really not that big of a deal for the Steelers, who seem to like Ochocinco's playful little digs.

Ochocinco is just 5-12 in 17 career games against the Steelers, so I guess they get the last laugh.

Cincinnati head coach Marvin Lewis, though, apparently nixed Ochocinco's plans and told him not to send the package.

  1. I'll give 8-5 credit; that's pretty funny. I watched an interview today on nfl.com with Troy, and he said he was looking forward to what 8-5 was sending.

Said that he would return the favor with some shampoo products.

I like Ocho. He amuses me. As far as I know, he's never said anything that was not in a 'playful' tone (unless you are one of his coaches) and he makes things interesting. It's not even like he is firing up the other team, they just laugh.

i like ocho, always have. the guy only wants to win and keeps things fun at the same time.

is parker's toe that bad or has tomlin just decided to go primarily with mendy?

with henry out for the bengals i feel we match up well against their offense.

last time we played them without troy, it seemed carter had difficulty coming up and containing benson. i don't think we will have that problem this time.

Is it me or did anyone notice the visible annoyance on Ben R's face when he threw a pass to Limas Sweed and Sweed didn't come up with it? The pass was low and behind Sweed so it really wasn't a great pass but nevertheless, it appears that Ben isn't hiding his annoyance anymore.

I thought it looked more like Ben was disappointed with his throw because he wanted to get Limas that catch. Perhaps that's me hoping the best for him, but it's what it looked like to me.

also, i believe after that pass you could see Ben saying to someone off screen, "my fault." that was clearly a bad pass and i don't think you could blame sweed for that one.

Oucho is pretty damn funny. He keeps things light. As far as Sweed, Ben was telling him that it was his fault and gave Sweed a pat on the back. Having Troy and Mendenhall for this game is huge!
I also hope to see a good rotation on the front D.I'm looking forward to this game, I just hope they show it here on the West Coast.

  9. Steelers win this game going away. I know they are not happy witht he result of the last game anAND the way the Bengals players were celebrating as tho they just won the super bowl. Big day for offense and defense!!

  10. That was Ben saying my fault....nothing to do with Limas...Ben put it in the dirt.

Even I have to admit it...The Steelers looked tight in the second half vs Denver. If they play that way on Sunday, Marvin and the boys are gonna have problems. Moving on to Ocho....PLEASE BACK IT UP THIS TIME...nuff said about that. Moving on to Troy. I HATE Troy. The only way I would like him is if he were a Bengal. Looking forward to a good game and strong effort by both teams...

  12. The game will be shown on much of the West Coast because the Niners play on Thursday and the Raiders will be blacked out in their local markets. Thank goodness for the Raiders & Al Davis! (When was the last time anyone said that?) Looks like the only areas where it won't be shown are some parts of California & Nevada that fall outside any "local market" distinctions.

@ the last Anonymous - If you would open your eyes a bit, you would see that Jim was answering a question from an above post asking if they would show the game on the West Coast. Thanks for coming out, though.

  16. Mendenhall is getting all the carries because of one number: 5.7
    That's his average per attempt.
Marvin Lewis said Mendenhall looks like Parker circa 2004 and 2005. The only difference is that Mendenhall can run with some power as well.

I still worry about Mendy's ball security and his occassonal goofy spin moves but there's no denying he's gone from heir apparent to apparent starter.
