Does he or doesn't he?

Reports surfaced Thursday that Ben Roethlisberger's sprained right foot is actually a broken pinky toe.

The Steelers are disputing that report.

In response to inquiries about Ben Roethlisberger having a broken foot, Steelers spokesperson Dave Lockett said there is no new fracture in Ben’s foot. Ben’s current injury is an aggravation of an old injury where scar tissue is present.

This is, of course, not the first time Roethlisberger and the Steelers have clashed over injuries.

There were the broken toes following the 2005 AFC Championship game against New England, and the broken ribs prior to Super Bowl XLIII against Arizona.

Do you watch practice Dale? If you do how does Ben's drop back look to you?

And the "separated" / "sprained" / "strained" shoulder of weeks 2 - ? in 2008...

And the 104-degree (or maybe not) temperature he had prior to the Jacksonville game in 2006...

    Am I forgetting anything?

Oh, yeah -- Ben's arm exploded while fumbling at the goal line vs. the Dolphins earlier this year.

Who told Bouchette that he had a "broken bone in his foot," which sounds different than a toe, although I guess technically a toe is part of a foot (is it?)?

In conclusion, being a tough player with a big heart and an exaggerating drama queen are not mutually exclusive qualities.

Or when he didn't play against Balt last year and Ward called him out?

whatever #7's brain needs say to itself to get him ready to play is all that really matters.

Dale, are you saying the original report from yesterday that Ben had a broken 5th metatarsal came from Ben?

  6. Ben has looked OK. I would expect him to be fine once the game starts and he loosens up.
