My take on the Steelers' offseason priorties
Here's my look at the Steelers' offseason plans that ran in today's Observer-Reporter:
Not a cut, but a lesser contract to stay in Pittsburgh. I think Ike realizes that he cannot make more money than Troy Polamalu. He might be able to get that on the open market.
Dale, today the Beaver County Times had a story about Tommy Campbell, who apparently has finally gotten his act together. He probably won't be drafted, but do you think the Steelers would have any interest in signing him as a UDFA? He played CB last year at CalU and has the size and speed coaches would seem to love in a DB.
No. Tommy Campbell has more baggage than U.S. Air. Trust me, there's no way they bring that kid to camp, no matter how much he's supposedly cleaned up his life.
I cannot imagine the Steelers having a winning record without Ike Taylor. I hope you are right that he would take a cut to be a Steeler.
