After grabbing Cam Heyward in the first round of the draft on Thursday, here are some players the Steelers could be targeting in the second and third rounds:
CBs
Ras-I Dowling
Curtis Brown
Johnny Patrick
Darryl Skrine
Rashad Carmichael
S
Rahim Moore
OL
Orlando Franklin
Marcus Gilbert
WR
Randall Cobb
Denarius Moore
RB
Taiwan Jones
Da'Rel Scott
no house?
ReplyDeleteI think House fits better than most of the corners that will be there - I think Dowling will be gone.
ReplyDeleteI don't know why but I can't post the past few days.
Any chance the Steelers look at Brandon Hogan? I know he has some character concerns but it seems like he straightened his act out over the last season. With CB and OT such huge needs why would they consider taking a RB or WR here? Any WR we pick up is going to be competing for WR4 or 5 at best and this WR class isn't even that great.
ReplyDeleteNo Greg Little? If they WR, he is one of the bigger ones they (Ben) keep saying they covet.
ReplyDeleteDale, what are you hearing on Marcus Cannon, G/T from TCU who was recently diagnosed with a treatable form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma. He was thought to be a 2nd before the diagnoses, how far do you think he will fall?
Dale,
ReplyDeleteJust wondering why no one is mentioning Ben Ijalana for round 2.
Thanks!
Eric, I too was wondering if the reports the Steelers are serious about Greg Little are serious. I'd think they had their fill of turd WRs, but you never know. Good chance Little goes high in round 2 anyway.
ReplyDeleteAssuming they go CB in round 2, I think a dark horse pick in round 3 could be a pass-catching TE (Kendricks, Cameron, Housler, Green, Williams, Thomas).
no trade up for Williams?
ReplyDeleteI actually forgot to put Little on that list. But I think there would have to be a lot of things happen for them to take a WR in the second round. Maybe the third and I expect Little to be gone by then.
ReplyDeleteHere comes Curtis Brown
