Wednesday news and notes

James Harrison had his appeal heard by Ted Cottrell on Wednesday and a ruling is expected to come on Thursday.

The Steelers aren't too optimistic Harrison's suspension will be lifted.

That means Jason Worilds will slide over to Harrison's spot after starting four of the past five games in place of LaMarr Woodley, who was nursing a hamstring injury.

© Woodley went through a who practice on Wednesday with no issues and looks ready to go on Monday at San Francisco.

Same goes for Emmanuel Sanders.

© Ben Roethlisberger, Troy Polamalu and Maurkice Pouncey did not practice Wednesday. But expect that to change by Friday.

Dale, since it's a Monday night game, will the team practice on Saturday?

  2. Great news about Sanders, and great timing by Woodley. Good thing he sat against Cleveland.

    Dale,

Whats your gut feeling about ben and puncey for Monday?

  4. I would be much more confident about this game against the 49ers with Harrison at ROLB than Worilds. I like the 2nd year guy, but he's not Deebo and SF is a very good team, and we're on the road for a night game.

Joe Staley got his egg cracked against Arizona Sunday, hopefully he can't go and Worilds can have a breakout game against his replacement.

brittle batch inspires no confidence. some direct snaps to brown and wallace

    what ever happened to Dixon?

  8. Yes, they'll practice Saturday.

What player would you have cut to keep Leftwich around on the active roster? Considering the other injury issues they've had this season, they likely would have had to release some guys who have helped this team this season.

Dixon is still around. He's No. 3.

But I think Pouncey and Roethlisberger play.

Ben was giving the whole "woe is me" thing today. "It hurts now more than ever."

But he'll be out there when the time comes.

  10. Does Ben say "Woe is me" out of the blue, or when he's asked how he's feeling?
