  5. Wow! Not happy with this pick, apparently this kid has issues and lacks in leadership and commitment.

Like I said in the last thread, if Adams is there at 2.24, you gotta take him. Great value pick at a position of need. The front office did their research and were not concerned about the positive test. If he would have had a coach and the offense would have been even average at OSU he would have been long gone by 2.24.

Kuegler is one happy man right now, and our O is going to be much improved.

Mike Adams is a fantastic pick who'll work and compete during training camp. He'll be our number one backup until he most likely takes the starting job in 2013. Why are people so angry at selecting him? Because he smoked weed? Are you kidding me?

As long as Adams keeps Ben upright, I don't care if he smokes blunts and pees with a prosthetic penis attachment device.

  9. I'm more worried about the fact that he seems to dog it in games sometimes than that he smokes pot.

The Jags took a punter in the third round. Have they never heard of Mitch Berger or Jeremy Kapinos? Well, at least they didn't give up a pick for him.

  11. The Steelers had Adams as the best player on their board in the 2nd round and he is one of the few tackles in this draft that can play the left side. It is a gamble by Colbert but one with a big payoff if he is right. I wonder how Kuegler feels now that he has some real talent to work with. Good-bye Johnathon Scott!

3rd rounder Spence is a head-scratcher. Maybe Colbert and company see him as strong safety, not OLB.

By today's standards, Lambert was light, but in his day Joe Greene at 275 was one of the bigger DTs in the NFL. Webster only went about 250, Mullins 240, Davis 250.

Potsie played at around 220, though.

  15. Nice job tonight. Great draft so far. Adams 2nd best OT on the board, met with ownership about lying regarding the weed. Spence is a Tomlin type player, explosive LB knows how to hit. A bit on the small side, they plan on playing him at ILB.

Now all we need is a NT for depth, and a Safety. After that it's gravy.

    Great job so far!

  16. I'm not too worried about Adams smoking. What really worries me is the idea that he got tattoo discounts. The NCAA really has to crack down on these guys!

Love the Adams pick and Spence looks interesting. If we could maybe set up his film machine in the weight room we might solve everything.

  17. Steelers OL could look like this:

    Adams - DeCastro - Pouncey - Colon - Gilbert

I'm not sure about the Colon to G, but I'm assuming if they did that, they would leave him on the right side instead of making him switch positions and sides. Maybe Gilbert plays LG and DeCastro right, with Colon staying at RT? I'm not sure, but thats your best 5. And this is the first time we can say this in awile- its a good, and young, 5.

Whether you think Adams is an idiot or not, I think its safe to say the Steelers did their due diligence and Adams has that LT physique. I don't see him going to the right side.

    Patrick u r an idiot

Steelers already said DeCastro will start at RG and Adams will likely sit a year. Also Colon would make an excellent guard, he sucks at tackle though

here is what the line will be opening day

    Gilbert - Foster/Leg - Pouncey - DeCastro - Colon

Someones an idiot but I don't think it's Patrick.

More likely it's the guy who has trouble with English and thinks that Tomlin said anything final.

I doubt they move Gilbert to LT for a single or partial year given that Adams is the long term answer. That might have sounded good after round one but things have changed.
