Dale, saw where the Jaguars released Ziggy Hood from their IR list after he passed his physical. Do you think the Steelers might pick him up? I think it'd be a good move. Ziggy, 28, never fit into LeBeau's 2-gapping system for 3-4 DEs but he'd be a much better fit with Butler's more attacking and penetrating DE style. Be a nice rotation fit with Heyward and Tuitt at DE. Steelers could always put Walton on the practice squad.
Also, McCullers logged no snaps this past game. Any idea why? I was pleasantly surprised to see that Walton played more snaps this past game than Cam Thomas. Can't believe the Steelers are paying him $2M this year on top of paying kickers about $6M. If Boswell keeps kicking like this, then the Steelers will have an interesting decision to make next year when Suisham is healthy. In those cases, the younger, cheaper and bigger leg usually wins out.

i have to say i am very disappointed in the lack of participation over at Dale's new blog site. not sure why you guys aren't over there, but it's not a pay site. i registered once and have yet to need to do anything with cookies, etc. what's up?

I miss this site, I think the different perspectives made for great debate. Was common to see 20, 30 comments and when the Steelers lost, 40 or 50 comments. I understand your employer's desire to see the web traffic migrate over to their site, but I'm guessing based on the small amount of comments there that it's only a small percentage of the traffic you had here. Might want to reconsider opening this site again. If not, still many thanks for all your work in bring us Steeler news through out the years Dale.
