I read in the trib where James Farrior is in better shape than anyone else on the Steelers. He trains in the offseason and he plays like he's 23 not 33. Is there any truth to this? Does James Farrior really train? I never realizes so many linebackers were in poor condition and that Farrior sets the tone.
Farrior is a professional and a leader, so of course he's going to be training his butt off. He's also a smart guy, and he knows Timmons is chomping at the bit to take his job. He's in a contract year, and he knows he has a few years left in the tank -- which translates to millions of dollars. He always plays at a high level, but we should see an exceptional year from James, to impress the Steelers, or any other team that might sign him.
Timmons won't be taking Farrior's job - least not this year. He'll take Foote's. He will, however, also take some of Farrior's dime responsibilities - possibly. Farrior's the leader of that defense.
