After going through some individual drills on Wednesday, defensive end Travis Kirschke sat out Thursday as he continues to attempt to come back from a calf injury that has sidelined him the past two games.
Kirschke, of course, had been thrust into a starting role after Aaron Smith was lost for the season.
Nick Eason has started the past two games at defensive end with Smith and Kirschke out.
Dale,
ReplyDeletewith this 35 yr old suffering set back after set back, do you see the Steelers putting him on IR and bringing in a FA with 3-4 end experience. someone young and reliable for depth behind ziggy and eason.
or is that not realistic? just a thought
Great idea . You should email this to the front office right away.
ReplyDeleteYeh thats exactly what I would say. (sarcasm for those inept, which is the above poster)

I'm a different Patrick, genius.
ReplyDeleteI like the Patrick in black letters much better than that crybaby blue letter Patrick who knows nothing about football
ReplyDeletedid anyone see holmes' comment when asked by a reporter about big ben's remarks how things just weren't clicking against cincy?
ReplyDeleteseemed like he was indirectly complaining about not getting thrown to enough.
Who are these people using my name?
ReplyDeletetoo funny.
ReplyDeletePatrick in Black should put his name as "Black Patrick" to keep things straight.
BTW don't you guys have anyone to bicker with in real life?
How did you know I'm black?
ReplyDeleteHey Dale look at your site, it turned into Kiddy City. Awesome.
ReplyDeleteIts funny to me, how you say I know nothing about football, when you all you do is post this nonsense.
Guys, if we can't just stick to football-related topics instead of personal attacks, I'm going to have to start moderating.
ReplyDeleteNobody wants to read though the childish bs. So cut it out.
Kirschke will be back this season. No reason to DL him.
OK, Mr. Lolley, I'm calling a unilateral truce. Henceforth I shall ignore the original Patrick and the anonymouses. Back to football exclusively....
ReplyDeleteDale,
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to see who practiced today, i know Troy's not playing but Kirschke? Also, i read how Sweed makes all these plays ini practice do you see the same talent when you go?
I wasn't talking about you so much as all the personal attacks at you Patrick. I don't know what you've done to tick all these people off, but they do enjoy tweaking you.
ReplyDeleteSweed does some stuff in practice, but it's just that, practice. Nobody's going to be hitting him there.
2 different Patricks now. That should make things fun.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what I've done either Dale, but clearly I'm a target (and an idiot). So it goes.
Dale,
ReplyDeleteAt what point do you cut bait with Sweed if he doesn't show something? Training camp next season, or do you let him stay through his contract? I am thinking that for all that Holmes has done, the team is not going to give a big contract to him. So the team will have to fill two sets of cleats (ward's and his) within a season of each other. They need to get a solid 1 and 2. (Wallace could be one of those guys of course.)
Did anyone see that story connecting Matt cassell to BigBen's case in Reno?
ReplyDeleteWhy do you think they wouldn't offer Holmes a fair value?
ReplyDeleteI don't think they'll give up on Sweed quite yet. Wallace's emergence gives them some wiggle room there. It assures that they don't have to draft a WR in next year's draft.
ReplyDeleteAnd he's not making all that much money. They like Holmes.
