After getting burned last week by the Bengals, the Steelers should be smarting a bit this week against Kansas City.
The Chiefs just aren't very good offensively and even though Troy Polamalu and Travis Kirschke won't play for the Steelers, their defense should have no trouble locking them down.
Defensively, Kansas City is very young in the secondary and that's something the Steelers will exploit, Kansas City also has just 12 sacks this season.
Take Pittsburgh, 31-10.
© Linebacker James Harrison was fined $5,000 by the NFL for his personal foul Sunday against Cincinnati offensive lineman Andrew Whitworth.
That's a good prediction Dale, How's Polamalu is he going to be ok for next week?
ReplyDeleteI think he'll be ready to go next week, but nobody's talking. I may ferret something out this weekend.
ReplyDeleteWith LJ gone, the Chiefs have no running game, especially against the Steelers. This could be a big sack day for LeBeau and Co.
ReplyDeleteDale, why has Harrison gotten (as far as I can tell) nearly a complete pass by the media, coaches, and fans for his personal foul?
ReplyDeleteI'm not saying it lost the game for the Steelers, but it did greatly reduce their chances of winning.
I don't know that he got a pass on it, but they still had a chance to hold them there.
ReplyDeleteHarrison is a disturbed young man. He fills the Lloyd Porter mold nicely. I would take a $5,000 fine performance from him every week.
ReplyDeleteSome have criticized the team's defense, but I would say by the end of the season we will all be questioning the bona fides of the haters.
I fully endorse Harrison drawing fines for things such as "sacking the quarterback in an intimidating manner," but not for selfish, stupid post-whistle penalties that help his team lose.
ReplyDeleteThere's no doubt it was a foolish thing to do.
ReplyDeleteIf you call 2.7 ypc a running game then boy the chiefs are in trouble now that diaper boy is gone.
ReplyDeleteHarrison foul was dumb however the guy shoved him well after the whistle. It should have been off setting penalties. Refs always get the one who retaliates especially with a blow to the head.
ReplyDeleteHarrison had a really bad, and dumb, one in the SB too. Tommie Harris was just ejected from a game for something similar.
ReplyDeleteI'll take the Steelers this weekend 30-17. I know I'm an idiot and all, but I think the Chiefs will put up some garbage time points towards the end.
AZ was obviously a far superior offense, but Haley did eventually find a way to score points on this D. Lebaeu knows that too though, so I think 17 is about the limit KC can get.
(Assuming they don't run back a kick)
I don't think it's ever safe to assume the opposing team doesn't run back a kick vs. this unit.
ReplyDeleteHell, the offense isn't exactly adept at limiting fumble/int returns either. Those have bit the Steelers more than once this year too.
I'm not really assuming they won't - I'm more or less just saying I don't think KC's offense can score more than 17.
ReplyDeleteIf another kick return happens this week, then some more heads need to roll. That would just be pathetic.
I don't even know who KC's KR is, but if Bernard Scott can get one, then I'm not counting anyone out.
They're on the road, so the kick return D will be fine. The runbacks have all been at home.
ReplyDelete^
ReplyDeletewell, so much for that. lol
"Well, I think that just about covers kick returns."
