Pouncey sits out again, looking questionable

Maurkice Pouncey, James Harrison, Brett Keisel and Troy Polamalu were among the players who sat out practice again on Thursday and of that group, it appears that Pouncey is the only one who is a question mark to play this week at Denver.

Pouncey, like Ben Roethlisberger, tweaked his injured ankle at Cleveland - only his occured in the first half.

Pouncey said the injury is still bothering him a bit and the Steelers may keep him out of this one.

The return of Doug Legursky could help ease that loss. Legursky has practiced the past two days after sitting out with a shoulder injury the past two weeks.

© Ben Roethlisberger returned to practice Thursday for the Steelers. There were no setbacks.

© For the Broncos, safety Brian Dawkins, who missed last week's game, was out again today and is looking highly questionable to play against the Steelers.

That would be a big blow for Denver.

good news about Dawkins should open the middle for the steelers receivers. Dale will leg play center or LG.

Looks like Pouncey is a bust.

I think they should cut him along with Mendenhall. Time to replace these two injury prone, underachieving first round picks. Maybe Kevin Colbert can get a TV show like his brother Steve instead of ruining the Steelers this way.

Dale,
How is Woodley looking in practice? Is the hamstring still restricting him?

Is there any correlation with off season conditioning and all these injuries? With the rate the players are going down, more trainers will have to be added to staff for the playoffs.

with tebow being a running QB, what are the odds of a steeler's defender hitting him up high if he pulls up to throw at the last minute?

also, what happens if tebow takes off to run, then pulls up to throw, but the steeler's defender goes to hit him low (in the legs) so as not to completely avoid hitting him high? is that a penalty as well for intentionally going to the knees of a QB?

Just assume we'll come out of the game with at least one fine and 2-3 personal fouls

Dale, how will the tragic fire-related injuries to Kirby Wilson affect the team this week?

Terrible news about Kirby Wilson. Hope he has a speedy and pain-free as possible recovery.

Hopefully Tomlin has Dennis & Charlie ready to go if Ben isn't getting it done. Also hope the defence is ready for Brady Quinn should the case arise Also first and formost all of our prayers for Kirby Wilson and his family. Dave W. in Las Vegas

The injuries to Kirby Wilson are not life threatening.

His injuries may or may not be life threatening, but they assuredly are life altering.

Patrick? The Turk wants to see you. Bring your playbook.

Can't figure out if you are serious, but if you are, there's a job in the Bengals personnel dept. opening up for you...

Rocket9,

I'm totally serious and I am offended that you even ask. I'm entitled to my own opinion. Let me ask you something:

You think Pouncey has been great? When? (When has he even played?)Did he generate a 1,000 yard rusher this year? Did he not have some stupid unsportsmanlike penalties too?

Mendenhall couldn't even crack 1,000 yards AND he played third down back a lot more this year. By the way, Mendenhall would have needed merely 62.5 yards per game to reach 1,000. That alone shows what a bust he has become.

No, I will stand by my statement that Mendy and Pouncey (sounds like a Hawaii 5-0 Reboot cast) need to move along. We should have drafted Alex Mack. Luckily we have Legursky.
