Steelers host a free agent

The Steelers finally hosted their first free agent on Friday and you can expect a few more to trickle in during the coming weeks as they scan the dollar store wares of what's left over after the feeding frenzy.

Buffalo left tackle Demetrius Bell was in Pittsburgh to meet with Steelers brass. He's visited a few other teams as well and is considered a talented, yet injury prone, left tackle.

Bell has a relationship with Steelers line coach Sean Kugler, which probably prompted his visit to Pittsburgh.

But it's likely his asking price will be out of Pittsburgh's range, even though he played in just seven games last season.

Twenty-seven-year-old left tackles don't come cheaply, even injury-prone ones.

With Philadelphia's OT Jason Peter out with a ruptured Achilles tendon they may sign him at his asking price which makes his visit moot. I'd rather they get Cordy Glenn if he's available at 24.

dale do you think the Steelers can do anything before the April 20th date for Wallace to be offered a deal by another team.So unless the steelers find someone willing to come here Cheap so we expect the steelers not to make any FA moves to after the draft

The Eagles have contacted Marcus McNeil as well. There are no guarantees.

If the right guy comes along at the right price, the Steelers would sign him.

Lets assume they signed Bell, Colon to G and Gilbert stays at RT? It seemed the staff really wanted to put Gilbert at LT.
