Mock Draft II

Here's round two of my pre-draft mock. More information is trickling in, and there have also been some free agent signings in the past week that will change things.

1. Indianapolis - Andrew Luck, QB, Stanford
2. Washington - Robert Griffin, QB, Baylor
3. Justin Blackmon, WR, Oklahoma State
4. Clevland - Trent Richardson, RB, Alabama
5. Tampa Bay - Matt Kalil, OT, USC
6. St. Louis - Morris Claiborne, CB, LSU
7. Jacksonville - Melvin Ingram, DE, South Carolina
8. Miami - Ryan Tannehill, QB, Texas A&M
9. Carolina - Fletcher Cox, DT, Mississippi St.
10. Buffalo - Michael Floyd, WR, Notre Dame
11.  Kansas City - David DeCastro, G, Stanford
12. Seattle - Luke Kuechly, LB, Boston College
13. Arizona - Riley Reiff, OT, Iowa
14. Dallas - Mark Barron, SS, Alabama
15. Philadelphia - Dontari Poe, DT, Memphis
16. N.Y. Jets  - Whitney Mercilus, DE, Illinois
17. Cincinnati - Dre Kirkpatrick, CB, Alabama
18. San Diego - Courtney Upshaw, LB, Alabama
19. Chicago - Quinton Coples, DE, North Carolina
20. Tennessee - Stephon Gilmore, CB, South Carolina
21. Cincinnati - Cordy Glenn, OL, Georgia
22. Clevleand - Jonathan Martin, OT, Stanford
23. Detroit - Nick Perry, DE, USC
24. Pittsburgh - Kevin Zeitler, G, Wisconsin
25. Denver - Michael Brockers, DT, LSU
26. Houston - Kendall Wright, WR, Baylor
27. New England - Peter Konz, C, Wisconsin
28. Green Bay - Shea McClellin, OLB, Boise State
29. Baltimore - Coby Fleener, TE, Stanford
30. San Francisco - Stephen Hill, WR, Georgia Tech
31. New England - Chandler Jones, DE/LB, Syracuse
32. N.Y. Giants - Mike Adams, OT, Ohio State

Fleener might have been on the Steelers' radar but on Tuesday, they signed free agent tight end Leonard Pope, who gives them a solid backup to Heath Miller.

With Dikson and Pitta both drafted just 2 years ago, I dont see the Ravens drafting a TE in the 1st round.

They have a chance to draft a stud and one recruited by Harbaugh's brother. Why not? Not like Dickson and Pitta are stars.

I think I would go Konz if Cordy and Decastro are gone.

After the pre draft mock do we get a post draft mock? :)

While Zietler would be a solid pick, I think he is a solid 2nd round pick.

Why the change of heart on Hightower?

Dale, I think DT Michael Blockers would be a great pick for the Steelers if your board plays out. He's a 3-down DL who can play NT, 5 & 3a technique. No one is talking about Jerel Worthy also. Another player that can play some NT & DT. Zeitler is a reach in Round 1. I want a better athlete than him in the OL 4 my 1st round pick.

Seems he's saying Hightower is a reach in round one, and if anyone does that reaching, it'll be Pittsburgh. Sounds bout right.

I thought Hightower went earlier in this draft & wasn't available at 24. With that being said, I'd still consider taking Brockers over Hightower if that played out. Brockers is going 2 be a Pro Bowl player. I don't think I can say that about Hightower so far.

Doesn't make much sense for me to do a new mock if I just keep picking the same guy for the Steelers. Just a different look at what could happen.
It's all in fun, anyway until I do the final one in a couple of weeks.

As for post-draft mocks, I seem to nail every pick in those ones.

If Kalil doesn't go #3 the whole draft is a joke (slight overstatement) but I think the Vikings at least are a joke if they let him slide.

Dale, Does Chris Carter have some potential for us at OLB? He seems to be a great athlete. Is he a great worker?

Cotchery signed a 2 year deal. Great news.

Cotchery is great E. Sanders foot insurance as well as an excellent receiver in his own right. Always think of that great catch he made for the Jets on a play where he tore his groin and kept hopping around. Also, no BS prima donna receiver attitude, maybe he can help keep one of those younger guys in check.

I think a safety somewhere in the first three rounds makes alot of sense.
