Steelers-Colts thread

As expected Marcus Gilbert is out today for the Steelers. Mike Adams will start in his place.

That will leave Pittsburgh with no reserve offensive tackles.

Cam Thomas will start at nose tackle in place of Steve McLendon, who is also out again, while Brett Keisel gets the start at defensive end.

Also down are Justin Brown, Ike Taylor, Shamarko thomas, B.W. Webb and Landry Jones.

Trent Richardson is active for the Colts, but Ahmad Bradshaw will start at running back. Richardson missed all week in practice with a hamstring injury.

Hakeem Nicks will start at WR in place of Reggie Wayne, who is out, while Ricky Jean Francois gets the nod over Arthur Jones at DT. Jones is healthy.

The weather here is perfect, sunny with a light breeze.

Dale, this is the kind of game Cowher's team lived on with statement type wins. Can Team Tomlin do the same?

I like getting Bryant involved early....young WR respond from that.
Also, Adams looks aggressive.

Did anyone else take reps at tackle this week?

"Win statement games"? What does that even mean? Sounds like the kind of dumb catch phrases people who don't understand football through out.

The NFL should just do away with intentional grounding infraction if they are not going to call it when the qb is in the grasp of the defender, going down to the ground and just chucks the ball into the turf. Ridiculous.

It's not intentional grounding if there is a receiver in the vicinity. Bradshaw was right there...

How is that for a statement!

Yes, I'm aware of the receiver in the area proviso, but it's still a ridiculous non-call. Luck was in the grasp of the defender, falling to the turf and just chucked the ball to avoid the sack. That throw had absolutely no chance to be completed.

I guess this officiating crew didn't get the memo to relax on the secondary calls after the fiasco of the preseason.

Even if there was a receiver, Luck foot was touched before the throw. Safety either way. The Heinz Field grass strikes again!

Is Bell OK? He hasn't looked the same since coming back into the game.

LOL! Great, gutsy call, perfect execution by Ben. Ben has played the best game I have ever seen him have. I hope he understands now how having a running game and the short/check down throws can help open up the deep ball for him. If he does, he'll finally make the most out his talent.

That was a ridiculous game by #7! Perfect actually. Get some. Big Ben! You da man!!!!!!!!!!!!
